Do you want to install WordPress locally on your computer using XAMPP?
Then follow the video guide:

Step 1: Install XAMPP from

Step 2: download the latest version of WordPress, from

then in windows navigate to the folder where you have installed xampp and then in htdocs folder create one new folder to unzip the wordpress file which you have downloaded in 2nd step

After install xampp you should be confronted with the control panel for the first time. You can start both Apache and MySQL by
clicking on the Start buttons.

Step 3: Creating A MySQL Database In XAMPP

clicking on the Admin button for MySQL in the XAMPP control panel.
Then click Databases in the top menu bar.

enter a name for your WordPress database under Create a database and pick the appropriate collation via the drop-down menu.

Usually, this will be utf8_your_language or utf8mb4_general_ci if your language doesn’t exist.

Then hit Create.

If you choose to set up a user, you need to give him or her full permissions for the database.

The easiest way to do this is by clicking on your new database and then finding Privileges in the menu on top.

choose Add user.

After that, you will be asked to provide a username, host, and password. Choose Local for Host and note down the other information
plus your database name. You will need it soon.

Before you hit Go at the very bottom of the screen to create your user, make sure the checkbox for Grant all privileges on
database “[your database name]” is checked.

Now we are ready for WordPress.

Step 4: Installing WordPress On Your Local XAMPP Server

now open your browser window and type in

(your_directory_name replace with your folder name which you have created in xampp-htdocs folder to save wordpress files )

fill the required information as usual.
